NOSE WORK GAMES — SNIFF & GO
Don’t miss this opportunity to play with your nose work dog in a new environment. We will be setting up three games to play. Sniff & Go means you come, you search and you go! This is a great chance to work in a new location.

$35 per team ($30 ADOG Staff) – 30 team limit
General Info:
— 1pm – Sign-in for ORT/NW1 Level teams
— 3pm – Sign-in for NW2/NW3 Level teams
— Sign in times may be adjusted based upon the number of teams who sign up at each level.
— Birch, Anise, and Clove odors will be used – Odors will not be paired.
— Handler can ask for hide location or help at any time.
— This is not an NACSW or AKC sanctioned event – this is a practice day in a new location. You do not have to be titled at a particular level. Just sign up based upon where you are training.
The Games:
1. Container Search (1 hide for ORT/NW1 teams, 1-3 hides for NW2/NW3 teams, number known or unknown, your choice) – 2 minutes on lead.
2. Interior Search (1 hide for ORT/NW1 teams, 1-3 hides for NW2/NW3 teams, number known or unknown, your choice) – may use connecting rooms – 2.5 minutes on or off lead.
3. Find-All (4-6 hides, location/number known or unknown) If you choose to know the hide locations, you can observe how your dog solves converging odor problems and use it as a leash handling drill so you can cover the area and not go back to the same hides. 3 minutes on lead, find all you can.
— Optional: You can choose to re-run the Container Search with a new hide location at the end of each Level for $10 cash day of.
Event Policies:
Parking will be available in front of the building; you will sign in at the front. Please leave your dog in the car during sign-in. Please pick up after your dog, thank you.
No indoor crating. Please be prepared to leave your dog in the car. Bring shade cloths, fans, water, etc. to keep your dog cool while waiting your turn.
Any spatially challenged dog or dog reactive dog must wear a red bandana (provided by owner). NO people reactive dogs please.
Bathroom breaks will only occur at the ORT/NW1 sign-in and the NW2/NW3 sign-in, this will allow us to keep things moving. Fast food restaurants are close by if you need them.
When it’s your turn, you will enter the building using the back door, there are about six metal steps up to the door.
All three games will be worked consecutively, one dog at a time, you will exit through the front door.
No meet and greets between dogs.
Hides will not be reset for additional dog(s) per handler.
We reserve the right to dismiss a dog/handler team without refund if we believe the dog’s behavior is inappropriate or dangerous to participants, volunteers or other teams.
Cancellation Policy & Refunds:
- Due to the short time-frame to the event, there are no refunds for cancellations.
- You may transfer your spot to another team at any level by emailing Cindy by 3/6/24.
