Nancy Patton with her beloved “Bomber” OTCh Locknor B Fifty Two Bomber (OS/OBHF)
Nancy is best known for her fabulous Golden Retriever OTCH Locknor B Fifty-Two Bomber. Bomber had an incredible obedience career that spanned nearly a decade. He earned his CD at one and a half years and completed his UD a year later. By that time, he already had over 16 High in Trials and was in the Obedience Hall of Fame. He earned 145 HIT’s, three perfect scores and 75 High Combined Awards. He is ninth in all-time top OTCh dogs with 2,689 lifetime points. His most outstanding year was 1991, when he was ranked number one by both the Whitehead High Combined Ranking System and the First and Foremost Ranking System. He was also the Ken L Ration Obedience Dog of the Year. That same year he was High in Trial at the GRCA National Specialty and received the Toby Trigger Trophy. He was an Open Gaines Classic Winner and won two Super Dog titles at Gaines Regional’s.
Nancy was named FIDO Obedience Person of the Year in 1999.
Nancy Patton Memorial Scholarship Fund
Nancy Patton lost her long battle with cancer on February 4, 2000. The Nancy Patton Memorial Scholarship Fund (at the University of Georgia Veterinarian School) was established in her honor – awarding several scholarships to students before being closed.
